Dental Veneers Acree & Isenhower Family Dentistry CA 95355-4229If you have or are considering veneers then you should consider what needs to be done to give them the proper care. Since they are a prosthetic-like product that is being put into the mouth, you need to make sure that you care for them like they were your own.

Here are some care tips for those that have veneers and want to make sure they are in the best shape possible. You will be surprised at how easy it can be to have a whiter, brighter smile and a healthy one, at that when you choose veneers!

Veneer Quick Care Sheet

Brushing and flossing should all be done on the teeth, much like you normally would do. You just need to make sure that you are choosing non-abrasive toothpastes since these can actually scratch the outside of the veneers and cause them to break down with time.

Staining drinks and foods should be stayed away from to reduce the chances of staining the outside of the veneers. Usually drinking through a straw is recommended, as well as rinsing out the mouth once you have consumed these items.

Please keep in mind that no matter how well you take care of the veneers, they will have to be replaced at some point. This is because they are not a forever product that can be kept in the mouth.
